The Academy has five Regional Chapters viz. the Northern Regional Chapter at Palampur, the Southern Regional Chapter at Hyderabad, the Eastern Regional Chapter at Bhubaneswar, the Western Regional Chapter at Mumbai and the North East Regional Chapter at Imphal. The Regional Chapters make suggestions with regard to policies and problems concerning their areas of operation and also of national importance. The main activities undertaken by these Chapters are:

* to arrange lectures on current topics;

* to organize workshops/brainstorming sessions on important topics;

* to undertake public awareness exercise on popularization of science;

* to publish a directory of agricultural scientists in their respective towns/regions;

* to bring out periodicals/newsletters; and

* to undertake schemes for recognizing and motivating young scientists.

The Convenors of these Chapters are:
